Thank you so much for sharing the memory of Sara with other young people at BHS, that share her passions. I didn't answer your message when I first received it - I was overwhelmed with emotion. Still today, the tears are forming.
I can tell you that there has not been another honor he's received that has meant this much to him. He was sincerely moved and for once, almost at a loss of words. Dietrich lives to entertain, communicate and touch the world - it is his passion. In Sara's spirit - I know he'll continue to carry forward that passion to the joy of all he encounters. This isn't coming from a bragging parent, but from someone who's seen what the effect of individual passion can mean to the rest of us.
Thank you, thank you. For the honor of putting him in the same class as your daughter and for recognizing the spirit of those young people on stage that night. I can't imagine what you've gone through - losing a precious child- but I so admire your generous and positive way of making sure her spirit carries on.
Again, thank you for making a difference in my child's life - he will cherish this forever.
