In loving memory of all children who are no longer with us, The Compassionate Friends extends an invitation for you, your family, and friends to join tens of thousands of persons around the globe for the 9th annual Worldwide Candle Lighting.
On Sunday, December 11, 2005, held annualy the second Sunday in December, The Compassinate Friends Worldwide Candle LIghting unites family and friends around the globe as they light candles to honor and remember children who have died, at any age, from any cause. As candles are lit at 7pm local time, hundreds of thoughands of persons worldwide honor children in a way that transcends all ethnic, cultural, religious, and political boundaries. The World wide Candle Lighting creates a virtual 24-hour wave of light as it moves from time-zone to time-zone as families and friends gather in remembrance of children who are no longer with them.
Should you want to attend, find your local chapter Compassionate Friends Group and they will list where it will be held tonight.
