First of all, I am sorry for your loss, all of you that knew Sara. I just had some comments to make about Her, and the reality of Cancer, and the strength some people exhibit under very hideous conditions. My cousins name was David Horvath. He died at 27, back in '97, after having been diagnosed with Testicular Cancer in '95. We were more like brothers then cousins, and it was extremly ugly, so I was around the whole time. I saw a person of almost total grace in suffering, it was unreal. I leanred a lot from him, and it would come in very handy, because I was diagnosed with the same type of cancer six months before he left the planet. Our mothers were sisters, so it wigged my family out real bad, having two nightmares at once. I was freaked out pretty bad as well, but I had seen what I had to do, how to cope, how to smile when you feel like total shit, I had been taught all those skills first hand by a guy that I hung out with almost every day. I was lucky, it was a class A Tumor, and the removal of the testical is an outpatient surgery. The big surgery was the one to verify that my Lymph Nodes were not cancerous, and that was that. I am one lucky bastard. Anyway, Dave was the same kind of person that Sara was (from what I can gather here, I did not actually know her). From what I can tell, she taught all of you some things, and that is after all the most importent thing you can do, is influance people in a positive way, care for living things, teach that value to others, that is important. Also, anyone that likes animals that much is a friend of mine. It is too bad there are not more people like Sara running around. I came across this on the bot page, and I am glad I did. It is a shame that Sara is gone, but some people are just to damned good for this world, right? One more thing, Testicular Cancer is not a very "sexy" issue among men. If you love them, tell them to do self exams. Men dont think about their bodies like women do, and that can be deadly. They tell you next to nothing in school, and it is the most commen cancer in men from 15-30, and it is very virulant. I hope it gets easier for you all to deal with your loss, it gets a bit more bearable over time, but to be sure, it will never go away, the empty spot that is. Just keep thinking good thoughts, she is nearer then you think. Take care of yourselves. DM
