The two most comprehensive resources giving information about state standards and the state accountability scheme are the California Department of Education website and EdSource.  EdSource is a nonprofit with the goal of educating about education.  The organization was started about twenty years ago by the League of Women Voters, the P.T.A. and the AAUW.  The EdSource website contains excellent downloadable information bulletins.
